There are several ways to carry out a search on www.vatoil.com. The most familiar method is to search by the make and type of vehicle. On our new website, however, there are many other ways of searching for the information you need.
Whatever the type of search, a number of general tips apply:
1. Be as specific as you can. For example, typing in "Ascona" will produce more relevant results than simply typing in "Asc", "320d" will produce more useful hits than typing in "BMW" and "Golf 1997 1.4" will be much more effective than simply typing "Golf".
2. Another important point is to make sure you use the correct spelling. If you're unsure what the right spelling is, searching on Google will often put you right. For example, searching for "Ferari" won't give you the results you need, but "Ferrari" will.
If you wish to search by vehicle make and type, please enter as much information as you can. Typing in the name of the model, plus the year of manufacture, will provide a more comprehensible result than searching by the vehicle make alone.
Many makes of vehicle make use of an internal code to refer to their individual model series. In the case of BMW, for example, the number E39 stands for the BMW 5-series models produced from 1995 up to and including 2003. On our old website, it wasn't possible to search using codes, such as E39, but on our new website, that is now possible.

Searching by specification, such as ACEA C3
You can also search by the type of application, such as: "Car" or "Agri"
